The ECPC Project Committee held a two-day Project Coordinating Group Meeting to support the review the project action plan at the ECPC Project Committee conference hall, Cotonou on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th January, 2025 at 10am.

The meeting was attended by members of the Project Coordinating Group (PCG), a consortium of partners and Civil Society Organizations working on critical issues bordering on the implementation of the project action plan. Institutions represented in the meeting were: Benin Procurement Bureau (BPB), Benin Civil Engineers, Ministry of Social Welfare, The Labour Group, Ministry of Works, among others.

The overall objective of the meeting according to the ECPC Executive Chairman and regional authorizing officer, Mr. Nachirou Tefrige Honore, was to contribute to the process of the review of the Project Action Plan and for the finalization of all regional projects under the laws of African Union. He further noted achievements of the Project Coordinating Group to include:

1 * Provide Legal and institutional framework and Professional Capacity for public procurement.*

2 *Training on Project Action Plan Diversion Policy *

3 *The review of the Project Action Plan Strategy (2014-2018) and a bridge plan-Reports on the review have been presented to the Minister of Works's and Project Affairs*

According to Miss Kadi, the Regional Project Coordinator, ECPC, the review process was also one of the issues unanimously agreed on in the 2019/2020 advocacy position paper by the Project Coordinating Group. She further informed the meeting that Project Framework have been conducted by the consultant and the technical committee of the Project Coordinating Group. Miss Kadi concluded that a report on the exercise guidelines have been developed and shared with participants for their review.

The two-day meeting was climaxed by group work by the participants, tasked with the responsibility of reviewing projects, contracts, procedures and structures. This was followed by presentations from the various groups proffering recommendations to the entire review process.

These presentations were followed by plenary discussions and the meeting agreed that:
*Presentations be collated and shared among the regional participants by ECPC for further review and onward submission to participants circles for inputs, comments, etc.*

*Final report and recommendations will then be submitted to the regional Consultant for consideration.*

*The ECPC was to develop guidelines for the smooth implementation of the Project Action Plan.*

In her closing courtesies, Miss Kadi thanked participants from the different institutions for their significant contributions to the process.
